Play this fun 3rd grade Halloween math game to show off your math skills and have fun destroying a lot of monsters. For each math problem solved correctly, you will enter a bonus round that is a lot of fun. How many monsters can you annihilate by the end of the game?
When playing this game, you will estimate volume and mass using metric units. You will also practice telling time to the nearest minute. For each bonus round, you will have 30 seconds to smash and destroy different monsters by clicking on them. Watch out for a few fast moving monsters, as they are not too easy to catch. The game can be played on computers, smart boards, iPads, and other tablets. You do not need to install an app to play this game on the iPad.
The game is based on the following Common Core Math Standards:
CCSS.3.MD.1 Tell and write time to the nearest minute and measure time intervals in minutes. Solve word problems involving addition and subtraction of time intervals in minutes.
CCSS.7.MD.2 Measure and estimate liquid volumes and masses of objects using standard units of grams (g), kilograms (kg), and liters (l). Add, subtract, multiply, or divide to solve one-step word problems involving masses or volumes that are given in the same units.
